Ethical Issues
There are many ethical issues with animal testing. One is that the testing hurts the animals. For example, in one experiment researchers cut off the legs off of baby mice to see if they could adapt to living without the limbs. Those mice would never get those legs back, all because of someone's curiosity. Also, the test did nothing to improve medical advancement. Another thing is that the researchers do not take good care of the animals. They keep them in too small cages, and feed them just enough food to survive. The animals are terrified and many develop physiological problems which only make the results of the tests less accurate. The scientists would never be allowed to do that to people, and yet it is okay to do it to animals? They feel pain just as humans do, yet morality allows this? Animal testing is not right, and should not go on.
